Condolence From: Gord Sturrock
Condolence: Gunter always called me Gordie, funny the only people that call me that are my parents. I can picture him calling me "Gordie" now while I write this, which in some ways makes this easier. Gunter was a very special man, very generous and kind. One fond memory was when he invited myself, Dale Adams, Dave Mottram, and my father to his cabin for a few days of fishing and relaxing even though Lloyd or Brian was not around. That was just who he was, the door was always open. I will always remember his optimism about life and how he treated others with kindness and an open heart. I am deeply saddened by your loss, he will be truly missed. Please accept my family's deepest condolences. Gord Sturrock and family.

Condolence From: Ray Takahashi
Condolence: We called him Opa because he was family to us. He was sincerely a nice person. He was kind, energetic, supportive, and very generous. Our family always looked forward to seeing him when he would make a visit to southwestern Ontario. Opa changed my life, by opening his house door when I was a teenager, and shared his family with me. Brian and Lloyd are now my dearest friends. I am forever grateful. Please accept our family’s sincerest condolences. The Takahashi’s (Ray, Janet, Mariko and Steven).

Condolence From: James Wilson
Condolence: When I was much younger, I worked with Gunter for several years at Provincial. I have always thought he was one of the kindest and most decent people I have ever known. I knew his sons by sight from Lakeview and have always thought that they were - like me with my own father - truly blessed to have such a great Dad. He will be missed.
