The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Mr. Arthur "Art" Acornley can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

I heard of your dad's passing a couple of days ago and know that he is now at peace and no longer suffering. I messaged Bart and told him that I will light a "Bolsa de Cantoya" (Mexican version of a Chinese lantern) in his memory on Friday at sunset and send him out to sea, and with a glass to toast his journey. Sorry that I can't be with you on Friday, but know that your dad is with good company, wherever that may be and that he will always watch over you both!

Condolence: As cousin Faye has posted, you were never forgotten, Arthur. Sincere condolences to Arthur's family & friends. Glad I managed a visit to him once in Thunder Bay & that he got down to Ottawa reciprocate. Sorry can't join you on Friday to reminisce about our youngest cousin. Be thinking of you all.

Condolence: Sincere sympathy to the family and Arthur`s friends. You were never forgotten, even though it has been years since we got together. Memories come floating back of Maynooth, the cottage, Maniwaki and Toronto. I clearly remember when Audrey asked to spend time at the cottage and help Arthur master all of his multiplication tables. Art must have been about 6 - I around 16 - I have no idea if we succeeded, but we did enjoy swimming, fishing and basically just having fun. Arthur was very special, he was our youngest cousin.
