Obituary for Mr. Christopher Martin Frey

Mr. Christopher Martin Frey
Christopher Martin Frey, 70, of Thunder Bay, passed away on Friday. February 2, 2018. The memorial service will be held at 1pm on Thursday, February 8 at St. Paul's United Church, 349 Waverley St., Reverend Al Piper and Pastor Bill Morgan will be officiating. Chris was born in Southampton, UK on March 23, 1947, and was married to Marnie Frey (Reid) on October 8, 1977. Alongside working as a machinist, he was for many years as a pastor in various communities in Saskatchewan and Ontario, most recently at O'Conner Commee Baptist Church. Although Chris's time with us was far too short, we are so grateful for the years we had with an amazing husband, father, grandfather and friend. His greatest legacy is the many amazing relationships he leaves behind, the result of a huge heart and generous spirit. We will always remember Chris for his insatiable curiosity, commitment to his community, and most of all his love for Jesus. His courage and good cheer through long illness is an inspiration to everyone who knows him. His family would like to express gratitude to O'Conner and Westfort Baptist Churches for their support, and to the staff of Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre for their wonderful care. Chris is survived by his mother Cecilia; his wife, Marnie; his son Brad (Julia); his grandchildren, Mitchell and Victoria; and his sisters Jackie and Susan. He is preceded in death by his father Juliusz, and his daughter Lydia. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre, renal or cancer units.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Simpler Times Cremation Centre, 332 North May Street.
