Obituary for Mr. Wesley George Miller

Mr. Wesley George Miller
Wesley Miller
1955 - 2018

Wes has gone fishing. Wesley George Miller, age 62 of Thunder Bay (formerly Fort Frances), passed away on Monday, June 25, 2018 after a short battle with cancer. His wish was to remain home, surrounded by his loving family, until his passing.

Wes was a hard working, wonderful husband, father and attentive grandfather. He loved his family with all of his heart. He loved fishing and camping at Ryan's East Arrow Lake Lodge, which gave him great happiness.

Wes retired from Resolute in 2010, and later decided to return to work at Walmart for the last 5 years, where he was well liked by his coworkers.

Wes was predeceased by his parents Doris and Ernest Miller; brother Art Miller; daughter Danyell Miller; grandsons Quinten Campbell and Ethan Alexander Miller. We know these angels welcome him with open arms.

Wes is survived by his loving wife Karen; sons Alex and Ken Miller; daughters Dana Gaudreau (Wayne), Nikki McCourt (Peter) and Sarah Shurvell; grandchildren Brittany Zahn, Hunter and Lincoln Miller, Lauren and Kelsey McCourt and Ella Shurvell; great grandchildren Link and Serenity Zahn; sister Janet Cotterill (Alf) and brother Kenneth Miller (Joan) as well as many other loved relatives.

A private interment with close family and friends will take place on Saturday, July 7th in Fort Frances. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, Wes' family requests that donations be made to the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Foundation - Northern Cancer Fund in his memory.

A deep felt thank you to all who helped care for Wes and his family.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Westfort Chapel, 420 West Gore Street at James.
