With great sadness, the family of Marvin George Joseph Spencer announce his passing on June 5, 2017 at the age of 77 years, beside his surviving lifelong partner Faye Silen. Marvin was born March 22, 1940 in Montreal, Quebec and then becoming a long-standing resident of Kaministiquia, Ontario and Williams Lake, British Columbia. Marvin was an avid lover of the outdoors, a passionate guitar player, a family man and a lover of all animals. He was the eldest son of 14 children to George and Kathleen Spencer. He is predeceased by his parents, brothers Terry and Tracey, sister Donna, and grandson Jake. Left to mourn are his siblings Aloma, David, Ron, Roger, George, Wayne, Shirley Anne, Audrey, Brenda and Wanda, as well as his children Della (Mike), Dwayne (LeeAnn), Marvin (Jody), Wade (Helen), and pet dog Skinner. Marvin had 12 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. A celebration of life will be held this Friday at a family home in Kaministiquia. Arrangements have been entrusted to Simpler Times Cremation Centre,
332 North May Street, Thunder Bay.
